Windows 11 Latest Update: ASUS ROG Ally/AMD Issues

Windows 11 latest cumulative update does not go well with some AMD-based devices like Asus ROG Ally.

Do you have Asus ROG Ally?

Please do not update to the latest Windows 11 update if you have not done so yet. As per the report, the latest cumulative update has been causing issues for devices with AMD-based systems. ASUS ROG Ally is using AMD hardware and is affected most by this update. Customers raised concerns about AMD-powered gaming laptop’s performance too in Reddit threads after installing the recent March 2024 update.

They have raised concerns about shuttering problems in apps and desktops and it all started after they updated their Windows to the latest.

Asus ROG Ally’s over-dependency on Windows has held it back again with this latest update.

This incompatibility of Asus TOG Ally’s with Windows is not going well for them.

Asus ROG Ally Users shared their experience of reduced frame rate (60 fps to 20fps) without any warning after installing the Windows March update. Before this update, they have not faced any such issue. As per them, stutter and games run at 60fps as per MSI afterburner, however, performance is quite bad, and you will feel like it’s running on 20fps.

As of now, there is no update from Windows but eventually, they will release an fix to it with guidelines.
