Miraculous Escape
The mariners were rescued from a tiny Pacific Ocean islet where they were stranded for more than a week after they got caught in swells during fishing and reached this uninhabited Pikolot. The trio spelled “HELP’ using a palm tree laid on a white-sand beach.
This was a miraculous escape for them as this islet is part of the Federated States of Micronesia, a Pacific nation between the Philippines and Hawaii that has more than 600 islands scattered across about 2.5 million square kilometers of ocean and for the rescue team to search these three guys is like finding a needle in a haystack.
The Coast Guard said a US Navy P-8A reconnaissance jet dispatched from Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, spotted the “HELP” sign on the beach on April 7.
For a week, the men had only coconut to eat. This was just a miracle for them.

The marina, city had more than 100 people living on the water, However, they lost the lawsuits from nearby residents and had to vacate the area in 2015.
