Dakota Ditcheva vs Lisa Mauldin
2023 PFL Europe Women’s Flyweight Champion, Dakota Ditcheva continue to dominate her opponents in 2024 PFL season at San Antonio, Texas, United States.
On Thursday, April 4, the undefeated champion, demolished Lisa Mauldin by first round TKO (3:54). Earning 6 points in the PFL Women’s Flyweight Division and a first-place position in the women’s flyweight standings.
Dakota improved her undefeated record to 11- 0.
Mauldin with a record of 6 wins and 3 losses tried to stop the rampage from Dakota, however, Dakota was too good and in the first round only, referee has to intervened to stop the fight and declare Dakota, the winner.
Dakota Ditcheya, 25 years old, is an English mixed martial artist with three times Junior amateur World Championship in Muay Thai.
She made her debut in MMA full time in 2019 and never looked back and won all her bouts with 11- 0 with 9 knockouts, 1 submission and 1 decision.
Liz Carmouche vs Julianna Velasquez
In the second match of 2024 PFL Women’s Flyweight Division, Liz Carmouche defeated Julianna Velasquez by unanimous decision (30-27×3), earning 3 points in the PFL Women’s Flyweight Division. It was a physical dominating display by the Bellator Women’s Flyweight Champion
Taila Santos vs Ilara Joanne
In a third match, Taila Santos defeated Ilara Joanne by 1st round submission (rear-Naked choke, 3:57), earning 6 points in PFL Women’s Flyweight Division. This was Taila Santos debut match in PFL.
Joanne started well with strong combination in the start of round 1, however Santos landed counter punches. She was able to get rear-naked choke and the tapout.
Kana Watanabe vs Shanna Young
In a fourth match, Kana Watanabe win the bout against Shanna Young by unanimous decision(30-27×3), earning 3 points in the PFL Women’s Flyweight Division.
Kana Watanabe is one of Japan’s best female talents with fourth-degree black belt. Young started strongly and Kana countered her with strikes on her head.
Both fighters did there best, and match ended in the 3rd round with unanimous decision.
Jena Bishop vs Chelsea Hackett
In the fifth and final match of tonight, Jena Bishop, a third-degree black belt holder, defeated Chelsea Hackett by 1st round submission (armbar, 4:15), earning 6 points in the Women’s Flyweight Division.
The Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist, Bishop manages to lock up the arm of Hackett, when she tried to pick Bishop up and goes for a slam and score the armbar submission.
