Uganda qualified for the 2024 T20 World Cup after beating Zimbabwe and other African nations and finishing 2nd in the 2023 Africa Qualifier. The Uganda national cricket team nicknamed the Cricket Cranes, will appear in the T20 World Cup for the first time. Can they pull off an upset in this edition of the World Cup?
Uganda has announced its 15-member squad with two reserve players traveling with the team.
Uganda 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup Squad
Brian Masaba will lead the Uganda team for the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 and Riazat Ali Shah will be the vice captain. This will be Uganda’s first appearance in the senior men’s World Cup of any type.
Frank Nsubuga, a 43-year-old veteran will be one of the oldest players in the tournament

Reserve Members: Innocent Mwebaze, Ronald Lutaaya.
Players to Watch in this World Cup from Uganda:
- Riazat Ali Shah, an aggressive batsman can entertain the crowd with his explosive batting.
- Dinesh Nakrani, a versatile batsman.
- Juma Miyaji.
- Alpesh Ramjani, a young all-rounder can be the player to watch. He was in the limelight with his performance and was nominated for 2023 ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year.
- Henry Ssenyondo, a left-arm orthodox spinner.

Uganda is in Group C along with West Indies, PNG, New Zealand, and Afghanistan.
