Nisarg Patel is an Indian-born American cricketer, born on 20 April 1988 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He is a slow-left-arm orthodox bowler and right-handed batsman, who was selected in the United States team for the Super50 tournament in the West Indies in 2018.
There was no looking back after that first opportunity, and subsequently, he made his T20 debut for the United States on August 18, 2019, against Bermuda and his ODI debut on September 13, 2019, against PNG.
He relocated to the United States in 2003 after completing his schooling in India and continues his studies in the USA along with his cricketing passion. He holds a master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences and maintains a full-time role with a medical research company.
In November 2020, Patel’s bowling action raised some questions, however, it was cleared by the ICC in February 2021, and he resumed bowling in international matches.
