The Namibia men’s national cricket team, nicknamed the Eagles, became an ICC member in 1992. This will be Namibia’s third consecutive appearance at the T20 World Cup. In their first T20 World Cup Appearance in 2021, they reached the Super 12 stage by defeating the Netherlands and Ireland in the first round of the tournament. The win against the Netherlands was their first-ever win at the World Cup event.
In the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup, Namibia defeated Sri Lanka in a stunning upset.

Gerhard Erasmus, a talented all-rounder will be the captain of Namibia’s team and Pierre de Bruyn will be the head coach in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Here is a complete list of players who will represent Namibia in the T20 World Cup.

Gerhard Erasmus (c), Michael Van Lingen, Dylan Leicher, Jack Brassell, Ben Shikongo, Tangeni Lungameni, JJ Smit(vc), Jan Frylinck, Niko Davin, JP Kotze, David Wiese, Bernard Scholtz,Ruben Trumpelmann, Zane Green, Malan Kruger, PD Blignaut.
Reserve Members: No Reserve Players.
The notable omission is Nicol Loftie-Eaton alongside veteran Pikky Ya France and young batter Shawn Fouche. Loftie-Eaton was in the limelight in February when he smashed the fastest T20I century in the history of men’s cricket with a 33-ball effort against Nepal. However, due to disciplinary proceedings against him, he has been overlooked. This will be a major blow for this talented all-rounder.
“All teams are allowed to make changes to their squad till 25 May without getting any approval from anybody, after that they need to get approval from ICC’s event technical committee to make any changes.”
