The NCAA women’s championship first round has been completed today March 23, and we have the lineup ready for Round Two starting from March 24. There are a total of six rounds in the NCAA women’s basketball championship.
Almost all games were won by higher-ranking teams, unlike day 1 of the first round. Some matches were very close and by the last minute, it was very difficult to predict which way the game would go.
The first match of the day was won by 6th-seeded Tennessee with a final score of 92-63 against 11th-seeded Green Bay.

The 12th-seeded Florida Gulf Coast (FGCU) gave goosebumps to 5th-seeded Oklahoma in today’s first-round match. FGCU took the initiative from the start, However, Skylar Vann, Oklahoma’s fifth-seeded player had different plans and scored 24 points for his team today and won the match for Oklahoma by 73-70.
Oklahoma will face No. 4 seed Indiana in the second-round match on Monday night, March 25.
The NCAA changed one of the officials at halftime of the Chattanooga-NC State game today because of a conflict related to her background. Tommi Paris was replaced by Angelica Suffren from the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament first-round game. As per The NCAA guidelines, all officials need to disclose school affiliations to avoid potential conflicts. As per Paris’s online profile, she has received a master’s degree from Chattanooga which is in direct conflict with NCAA guidelines. N.C. State won the match 64-45.
