March Madness, the 2024 NCAA Women’s Tournament is on with a round of The Elite Eight.
The NCAA women’s championship first three rounds have been completed successfully and we have 8 teams left for the race to the NCAA women’s championship.
The Elite Eight will have a total of 4 games divided into two days with two games on each day. There are a total of six rounds in the tournament.
Today is day 1 of The Elite Eight round and two matches were planned for Sunday, March 31.
The first match of the round of The Elite Eight was between No. 1 South Carolina and 3rd-seeded Oregon State.
South Carolina beat Oregon State 70-58 in the opening match of The Elite Eight round and enter The Final Four round.
This is their fourth consecutive appearance to the Final Four for The Gamecocks. They will play No. 3 NC State on Friday, April5.
The Beavers did give a good fight today; however, the Gamecocks were excellent.
Johnson scored 15 points and get the help from her teammates, Ashlyn, Sanis Feagin and MiLaysia Fulwiley to lead their team to next round.
The last match of the Elite Eight round day 1 of the NCAA Women was between No. 1 Texas and No. 3 NC State.
NC State upset the higher rank team and won this match 76-66. They will meet No. 1 South Carolina in the Final Four round.
Aziaha James again becomes the savior for her team, she scored 27 points.
And assist let her team upset No. 1 Texas.
This is NC State second Final Four appearance in the history of NCAA. They first enter the Final four round in 1998.
