St. Patrick’s Day is a showcase of Irish American pride and a worldwide celebration of Irish culture. It has become one of the most popular festivals worldwide.
St. Patrick’s Day has been celebrated on March 17 to observe the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Although he was born in Britain, he is believed to be responsible for bringing Christianity to Ireland.
It has evolved into the festival of Irish celebration with unique culture, Language, music, dancing, drinking, and everything green.
It is celebrated around the world and most countries have national holidays on this day like some parts of Canada, However, the United States does not have a federal holiday.
America has a big diaspora of Americans who claimed Irish ancestry, and all come out to celebrate this festival.
Most people dressed up in green color. Green is the part of the Irish national flag with Orange and white colors. The green color represents patriotism towards their Irish heritage and every Irish feels proud about their nationalism.
Everybody comes out to celebrate Irish heritage, Irish and non-Irish all come in numbers to attend one of the many parades around the world, especially in the US.
