March Madness, the NCAA Men’s championship The Elite Eight round has been completed today and we have the lineup ready for the 5th round of Final Four which will be played on April 6.
The Final Four round will have a total of 2 games played on the same day on April 6. There are a total of six rounds in the tournament.
The first match of The Elite Eight day 2 was between No. 1 Purdue and No. 2 Tennessee.
Purdue defeated Tennessee 72-66 in the Elite Eight on Sunday to secure the school’s third trip to the Final Four and first since 1980.
Both team’s have star performers with very less to distinguish, Purdue’s Edey scored 40 points, 16 rebounds and Tennessee’s star Dalton Knecht was not less also, he scored 37 points. Edey and Dalton are the third pair of opposing players to both have 35-point games in the Elite Eight or later.
They will meet No. 11 seed NC State in the Final Four round on next Saturday, April 6.
NC State has a nice runup to the Final Four with consecutive wins.
The last match of the Elite Eight round was between No. 4 Duke and No. 11 NC State was a thriller in the Elite eighth round on Sunday.
NC State upset Duke’s dream for the final berth and sail through to the final four with 76-64 score in the Elite Eight round of NCAA tournament.
Man of the match was Burns; he scored his career best 29 points to help the Wolfpack to cruise to the next round of the final four since 1983. Duke’s McCain finished with 32 points; however, it was not good enough to beat NC State today.
NC State becomes the seventh team to reach the Final Four as a double-digit seed, the last time UCLA in 2021 achieved these feet.
They will meet No. 1 seed Purdue in the Final four round on next Saturday, April 6.
