2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup: Club America vs Pachuca Score

The CONCACAF Champions Cup 2024 semifinals Second Leg first match was played between Club America and Pachuca on Tuesday night, April 30   at Estadio Hidalgo in Hidalgo, Pachuca, Mexico.

Both teams have drawn their first leg match, and the winner tonight will directly cruise to the finals.

Both teams started well and tried to possess the ball as much as possible, however, Pachuca was able to make a first breakthrough in 12 minutes. Emilio Rodriguez scored the first goal of the match and gave Pachuca a 1-0 lead.

Within two minutes, Nelson Deossa Suarez doubled the lead for Pachuca with a goal from open play. This was the dream start for Pachuca for their race to finals.

What a match it is going to be, Club America decreases the deficit by one in 23 minutes. Henry Martin converted the perfect header into the right side of the goal and made a score 1-2.

The score was 1-2 till the first half with Pachuca in front.

The second half started, and Jonothan Dos Santos received a yellow card in 47 minutes. This is not a good start for Club America who are trailing by one goal.

Another yellow card to Club America, this time Ramon Juarez fouled on Salomon Rondon in 55 minutes. The game has been interrupted, the referee gives an official warning to Ramón Juárez and a free kick to Pachuca.

Club America is fortunate that Pachuca was not able to make most of the two free kicks from two fouls.

Now is the time for Pachuca to receive a yellow card in 62 minutes.

Foul by Jorge Berlanga on Julián Quiñones! The game has been paused, and the referee shows a yellow card to: Jorge Berlanga and a free kick to Club America.

Both teams showed their desperation as both teams received one more yellow card at 71 and 73 minutes

A total of eight yellow cards have been awarded so far, however, no team has taken advantage of any.

Israel Reyes received a red card in 90 minutes and has been sent off at a critical time for Club America.

This is the end as it will be very difficult now for Club America to return from this point.

Finally, Pachuca cruised to the finals 2-1. This was an amazing display of play by Pachuca tonight.

They will meet Columbus Crew or Monterrey in the finals.
