The CONCACAF Champions Cup 2024 semifinal First leg has been started today with the first match between Club America vs Pachuca.
Club America hosts CF Pachuca in the first leg of their 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup semifinal series on Tuesday at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. This is the first time, both teams are meeting each other in the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup.
Both teams started cautiously in the beginning, Club America broke the shackles by scoring the first goal of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Semifinal match in 12 minutes. Alejandro Zendejas scored an opening goal for Club America and gave his team a lead of 1-0.
Both teams played an aggressive game and tried multiple shots at each other’s goals, however, thwarted.
In the 39th minute, Alejandro Zendejas incorrectly challenged Nelson Deossa Suarez and received a yellow card and free kick for Pachuca.
Norman Micolta Arroyo converts a goal and level the score 1-1 in 40 minutes.
Both teams went into the first half with a 1-1 score.
Emily Rodriguez received a yellow card in 48 minutes and a free kick for Club America. However, Club America was not able to capitalize on the free kick.
Both teams played a very good game but both were unfortunate today and in the end match ended in a draw with a final score of 1-1.
The teams will meet again in the second leg on April 30, Tuesday to decide the finalist.
The second finalist will be decided with the April 24 match between Columbus vs Monterrey
